Scott Karnitz is a private practitioner with a focus on family law and mediation. He has worked extensively in matters involving divorce, child custody, child support, protective proceedings, and mediation.
Scott has seen first hand how ugly and drawn out divorce proceedings can be. It is his goal to reach a resolution that benefits all parties and allows the parties to move on with their lives in a healthy manner.
Scott assists in resolving disputes by facilitating productive conversations and developing potential resolutions between all parties. He believes that it is more beneficial for the parties to resolve disputes themselves rather than leaving the final decision to a Judge.
Scott earned his Doctor of Jurisprudence at Willamette University College of Law, and his bachelor’s degree from the University of Alaska Anchorage. He is an active member of the Oregon State Bar. Further, Scott has a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution.
